12 months is the shortest aging period for Parmigiano Reggiano, which presents itself as fresh and delicate with hints of milk, yogurt, and vegetal notes. Even at 12 months, Parmigiano Reggiano is naturally lactose-free, making it suitable for those with intolerance.

Parmigiano Reggiano aged 12 months has a pale straw-colored paste, a sweet and light taste, and distinct notes of field herbs. It is an excellent slicing cheese, perfect for serving in cubes as an appetizer or at the end of a meal. It pairs particularly well as an appetizer with sparkling white wines or to enhance salads and cold dishes.
